Moral and Social Issues Council (MASIC)

the word ethics written on paper

The Moral and Social Issues (Ethics) Council (MASIC) helps The Salvation Army to think about significant moral, religious and social issues. The Salvation Army champions issues of justice and mercy. Our faith provides a solid foundation for life that helps us respond to moral and ethical issues.

The current chair of the Moral and Social Issues Council is Captain Emma Cowan. Feel free to email Captain Howan  if you have questions on matters of moral, religious and social ethics from a Salvation Army Christian perspective.

Positional Statements

The Salvation Army has local and international Positional Statements that state the organisation’s view on some moral and social issues.
